English abroad compared to learning in your own country

1)There’s a popular belief that by studying
a language in a country where it is spoken,
you will be able to learn it more quickly.
2)However, leaving home for a long period
of time is not everyone’s cup of tea. 3)What
is more, studying in your home country can
have many advantages, too.
4)First of all, when you are in a familiar
environment, a cultural shock or
homesickness won’t bother your studies.
5)Second, teachers in your home country
who can speak both English and Ukrainian
sometimes can provide you with better explanation
and more adequate instructions
than a person who doesn’t understand your
language. 6)Besides, the cost of learning is
much cheaper than studying abroad. 7)You
can save money for your future.
8)On the other hand, studying overseas
gives you many chances to practise your English
skills by communicating with native speakers.
9)Moreover, studying English is not only
learning vocabulary and applying grammatical
rules but also understanding the culture
of the country and the way people live there.
10)That’s why learning English abroad can
be very beneficial, however, it is also possible that
you improve your English skills in your home
country if you study hard and on a regular basis.
1)Популярною є думка, що, ви-
вчаючи мову в країні, де говорять цією
мовою, ви зможете швидше нею оволо-
діти. 2)Однак покинути рідний дім на
тривалий час підходить не кожному.
3)Більш того, навчання в рідній країні
може також мати свої переваги.
4)Перш за все, коли ви знаходитесь
у знайомому середовищі, культурний
шок або сум за рідними не заважатиме
навчанню. 5)По-друге, вчителі у вашій
країні, які знають як англійську, так
і українську мову, іноді можуть надати
вам кращі пояснення і запропонува-
ти адекватніше навчання, ніж люди-
на, яка не розуміє вашої мови. 6)До
того ж, вартість навчання в нашій кра-
їні набагато менша, ніж вартість освіти
за кордоном. 7)Ви можете заощадити
гроші для вашого майбутнього.
8)З іншого боку, якщо ви навча-
тиметеся за кордоном, ви отримаєте
багато можливостей попрактикуватися
у спілкуванні з носіями мови. 9)Крім
того, вивчення англійської мови — це
не тільки вивчення слів і застосування
граматичних правил, а й розуміння
культури країни і способу життя людей,
що там мешкають.
10)Ось чому вивчення англійської
мови за кордоном може бути дуже ко-
рисним, проте також можливо удоско-
налювати мовні навички у своїй країні,
якщо ви наполегливо працюватимете
регулярно.
