PRESENT FORMS

Present Simple

a) Образование: Present Simpleобразуется при помощи инфинитива смыслового глагола без частицы to. В 3-ем лице единственного числа смысловой глагол прибавляет окончание –s (-es).Для образования вопросительных и отрицательных предложений используется вспомогательный глагол do (does).

I; you; we; they – work.

He; she; it – works.

Do you work? – Yes, I do.

Doeshe work? – Yes, he does.

I don’t work. He doesn’t work.

б) Использование:

Present Simple используется:

1) когда говорят о постоянных занятиях, повторяющихся действиях и ежедневных обязанностях:

He works at a hotel (постоянное занятие).

He makes the beds and cleans the rooms every day (ежедневные обязанности, повторяющееся действие).

2) когда говорят о всеобщих истинах и законах природы:

It often rains in tropics.

3) в расписаниях (поездов, самолетов) и программах:

The plane to Moscow takes off at 7 am.

4) в спортивных комментариях, обзорах и повествованиях:

a) Rogers kicks the ball and passes it to Jones (спортивный комментарий).

b) She acts perfectly in this show (обзор).

c) So, the author tells us … (повествование).

Следующие временные указатели обычно используются с Present simple: always, usually, etc.; every day/week/month/year, etc.; on Monday/Tuesday, etc.; in the morning/afternoon/evening; at night/the weekend, etc.

Present Continuous

а) Образование: Present Continuous образуется при помощи вспомогательного глагола to be в Present Simple и причастия I смыслового глагола.

I am/you; we; they are / he; she; it – is working.

Areyou working? – Yes, I am. No, I am not.

He isnot working. They are not working.

а) Использование:

Present Continuous используется:

1) чтобы сказать о действиях происходящих сейчас, в момент речи или о действиях, происходящих в данный временной период, но не в настоящий момент:

Nick is working hard these days. Right now he is having dinner (Он не работает в момент речи).

2) со словом always , когда мы хотим выразить наше раздражение действиями, которые происходят слишком часто:

You are always forgetting feed the dogs.

3) о действиях, которые уже запланированы на ближайшее будущее, особенно если время и место уже известны:

We are having a party at 5 this evening (время и место вечеринки уже известны).

4) о ситуациях изменяющихся или находящихся в развитии:

The climate is getting warmer every year.

Следующие временные указатели обычно используются с Present Continuous: now, at the moment, these days, at present, tonight, nowadays, still.
