1. Выполненные задания контрольной работы должны быть распечатаны на А4 с титульным листом. Шрифт – Times New Roman, размер шрифта 11/12, выравнивание по ширине, междустрочный интервал 1,5.
2. Контрольную работу сдать на кафедру общего и германского языкознания (корпус Д, каб. 103) до нового года. Обычное требование – сдавать контрольные за 2 недели до начала сессии. Cities and Villages of Arkhangelsk Region
The city of Arkhangelsk is the administrative centre of the region. The second largest city is the nearby Severodvinsk, home to Sevmash, the main shipyard for the Russian Navy. The principal industrial enterprises in Arkhangelsk Region are shipyards in Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk, pulp and paper mills* in Koryazhma and Novodvinsk, and bauxite extraction plant in Severoonezhsk. Almost any town has some timber* works. Plesetsk Cosmodrome is one of three spaceports* in Russia. Novaya Zemlya from the 1950s, when its population (mostly Nenets) was strongly recommended to leave, became the military ground for nuclear* bomb testing.
Among the oldest cities of the region are Kholmogory, Kargopol, and Solvychegodsk; there are a number of Russian Orthodox* monasteries, including the Antoniev Siysky Monastery and the World Heritage Site* of the Solovetsky Islands in the White Sea. Today, the Solovki are seen as one of the major tourist magnets in the Russian North.
Mikhail Lomonosov, a polymath* and poet who created the basis of the modern Russian literary language, was born in 1711 in the village of Denisovka, close to Kholmogory, though at the age of 18 he left the area for his studies and spent most of his career in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. Denisovka was later renamed into Lomonosovo in his honour.
In the 20th century, one of the authors in Soviet literature, who predominantly described rural* life, was tightly connected with Arkhangelsk Region: Fyodor Abramov was born in the peasant* family in the village of Verkola in Pinezhsky Uyezd. In his literary works the life of Arkhangelsk peasants features* prominently.
