Методические рекомендации по работе с идиомами.
Цель:
Colour Idioms
Многие идиомы включают в свой состав названия цветов, причем иногда метафора, на основе которой происходит переосмысление, легко угадывается или понять ее помогает русский аналог: - blue with cold - as white as snow - brown bread - as black as coal - black humour - as red as a beetroot - black look - a red rag to the bull
Однако во многих случаях идиомы с «цветовым компонентом» необходимо заучивать:
- to be green with envy — позеленеть от зависти - to have green fingers – быть умелым садовником - to show a white feather — струсить - once in a blue moon — очень редко - out of the blue — неожиданно, как гром среди ясного неба - to be yellow — быть трусом

2 English Idioms with lnfinitives and Gerund
В английском языке есть целый ряд устойчивых словосочетаний, в состав которых входят неличные формы глагола - инфинитив и герундий. Полезно запомнить некоторые из них и использовать их в речи.
I. Idioms with the infinitive
- to be honest — честно говоря - to begin with — для начала - to tell you the truth — по правде говоря - to cut a long story short — короче говоря - to put it another way — иначе говоря - to get back to the point — возвращаясь к сути дела (к нашему вопросу) - so to speak —так сказать
ll. Idioms with the gerund
- frankly speaking- честно говоря - generally speaking - вообще говоря - roughly ['rʌfli] speaking — rpy6o говоря - strictly speaking - строго говоря - supposing - предположим
A. Закончите предложения подходящими словами. Complete the sentences with the appropriate words.

Цель: знать профессиональную лексику, формировать умение у студентов работать с разными источниками и интернет ресурсами, выделять главную информацию, уметь аргументировать собственную точку зрения.
Задание: подготовить диалог на заданную тему в соответствии с основными требованиями к устному сообщению.

Situations: 1. You are negotiating a prospective purchase of consumer goods. Indicate the samples you have chosen and state your idea of a discount. Promise to confirm your final choice by letter. 2. Ask him not to postpone deliveries as your Russian partner expects the goods within the contractual dates. 3. Meet a prospective customer in the showroom you run. Speak to the seller’s representative in Moscow about the results of the final tests at your Russian party’s plant. Some results are not quite satisfactory. Make your suggestions to settle the matter.

Критерии оценки по составлению диалогов
Высокую положительную оценку «5» студент получает, если: • достаточно полно и конструктивно излагает соответствующую тему; • дает правильные формулировки, точные определения, понятия терминов; • грамотно отвечает на дополнительные вопросы преподавателя
Положительную оценку «4» студент получает, если: • если при изложении были допущены 1-2 незначительные ошибки, которые студент исправляет после замечания преподавателя; • правильно отвечает на дополнительные вопросы преподавателя • излагает выполнение задания недостаточно логично и последовательно; • затрудняется при ответах на вопросы преподавателя. • Неполно изложено задание;
Удовлетворительную оценку «3» студент получает, если: • при изложении были допущены значительные ошибки • неверно отвечает на дополнительные вопросы преподавателя • излагает выполнение задания нелогично и непоследовательно;
