Oslo houses several major Museums and galleries. A large number of festivals are held in Oslo, such as Oslo Live, a rock and roll event, and the Oslo Jazz festival.

Swedenborders with Norway and Finland and is connected to Denmark by a bridge-tunnel. Today, Sweden is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy. Stockholm houses many national cultural institutions. Stockholm is one of the most crowded museum-cities in the world with around 100 museums, visited by millions of people every year. The most renowned national museum is the National museum, with Sweden's largest collection of art: 16,000 paintings and 30,000 objects of art handicraft.


10.The town of Ivanovo is located in the picturesque area of the Volga River basin, at the 300 km distance from Moscow, and is an integral part of the Golden Ring of Russia.

The town stands on the River Uvod. Its population counts around 448 thousands, while the population of the Ivanovo Region is 1.1 million people.

Not far from Ivanovo there are located the old Russian settlements Palekh and Holui, the centres of the world-known lacquer miniature art. Ivanovo has a number of architectural ensembles of various epochs. Ivanovo remains the textile industry centre of Russia, the fact entailing it the nicknames “Russian Manchester” and “the town of brides”.

Ivanovo is a big cultural centre today, with interesting museums, Drama Theatre, Musical Theatre, Puppet Theater, and the circus.

It is a must for tourists to visit the Museum of Ivanovo Chintz, featuring the history of this fabric and displaying antique homespun canvasses with fanciful patterns. It is better to start the promenade, however, from the Lenin Street, where the Regional Museum is located.

The most famous buildings of the town are: the wooden Church (late 17th c.), Shchudrov’s Booth (18th c.), A. Dmitry Burylin’s Palacewas built in 1904 for the factory owner, a founder of the Museum Iindustries and the Arts. This museum has the name of its founder, Dmitry Burelin who gave his life to collect old and rare stuff for the establishment of the museum. The museum was opened officially on December 26, 1914. The museum exhibits include historical and cultural of the various countries of the world, including, set the Gospels and the Masonic group.

 


11. Moscow City Tour is a good chance to get acquainted with the capital of Russia. During the city tour you will see the Red Square, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Novodevichiy Convent, Poklonnaya and Vorobievy Mountains, Tverskaya Street, Bulvarnoye Koltso (Boulevard Ring), and other attractions.

The Tretiakov Gallery is the largest museum of Russian art in the world. The museum represents the whole history of Russian art from the ancient period until now. The Kremlin is the historical centre of the city, the heart of Moscow. This is one of the most famous museums of the world, which continues to attract visitors in great numbers. Kremlin is located on a hill washed from one side by the Moscow-river. On the Kremlin grounds you can see the Tsar Bell and the Tsar Cannon and visit the wonderful Russian churches.

St. Basil Cathedral is one of the most outstanding monuments of Old Russian architecture of the 16th century. The tourists admired the beauty of the cathedral, and for the Russians it became the symbol of native history and culture.

St. Basil Cathedral was designed by Russian architects Postnik and Barma. There is the legend saying that Ivan the Terrible admired the beauty of the cathedral and ordered to blind the architects so they could never construct such a masterpiece again. St. Basil Cathedral was the highest construction in Moscow.

The walls of the cathedral are decorated with oil paintings and frescoes of the 16th-19th centuries. In the cathedral one can see portrait and landscape painting of the 19th century. In the middle of the 20s of the 20th century St. Basil Cathedral got the status of museum.


12. A relatively young city, St. Petersburg was founded in 1703, and has been playing key role in the history of Russia.

But I’d like to tell about our trade economical college. Our technical college belongs to the oldest schools in Ivanovo. It is about 70 years old. It was built in 1931. It is situated in Lenin Sguare. In 2008 this school was given a new name. It is a college. In 2008 the college was awarded by the Golden Medal. This college prepares specialists for trade and cooking. Our students get their special education in several specifications. They are accounting, commerce, technology of cooking, manager of tourism. Let’s start our excursion. We are on the first floor. Here is the head master’s room. The head master of our college is… Next to the head master’s room you can see the correspondence department. The students study many interesting subjects here. Go along, look on the left. It is a doctor’s room. We are now coming up to the assembly hall. Many conferences, meetings, concerts take place here.

On your left you will see a book-keeping. Next is a teacher’s room. On your right you will see a canteen. If you look up you will notice a library, gym and laboratories. In laboratories students practice of cooking. In gym students play different sport games and have P.T. lessons. In the library you’ll find a lot of interesting books and textbooks.

Let’s go upstairs. On the second floor you will see a lot of rooms. In front of you is the room of philosophy. But some years ago the room was known as the room of Regina Mihajlovna Grinberg . She was the Soviet and Russian theatrical director, the founder and the art director of the Ivanovo youth theatre.

If you look up you will notice a lot of students’ rooms. These rooms are very comfortable and light . You’ll find a lot of flowers here. In front of you you’ll see a computer class. There are modern computers here. Our students learn how to use the computers correctly.

 


14. The 'Golden Ring' route is known for the famous old cities and towns along the way, so one of the reasons to go there is to see Russian architecture, old churches made of white stone, hear the bellring, see fortresses, beautiful monasteries, and learn more about history of Russia. The 'classical' route starts from Moscow, goes through Vladimir, Suzdal, Ivanovo, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Rostov Velikiy, Pereslavl-Zalesskiy, Sergiev Posad.

Vladimir: The first town of the Golden Ring. Vladimir is an old Russian town, it used to be capital of Russia in the 12th century. There are many interesting sights, like old churches, monasteries and museums, but the interest in the city is in its provincial atmosphere and its contrast with the big cities.

SUZDAL: An ancient Russian town 38 kilometers north of Vladimir with around 13 thousand inhabitants. Suzdal is officially protected from the industries, and the old architecture and buildings are kept intact. The hilly green town is very seducing, walking around is a pleasure, the monasteries and old beautiful churches offer dreaming views.

IVANOVO: It is a big city between Suzdal and Kostroma. Ivanovo is a real Russian industrial and textile center.

Kostroma: Kostroma is an ancient Russian town on the river Volga. It is famous for its history. The first Russian Tsar Michail from Romanov’s dynasty come from Kostroma. The name of Ivan Susanin, the patriot of Russia, is known to many people.

Turkey is a democratic, secular, unitary, constitutional republic with an ancient culture. Ankara is the capital of Turkey and the country's second largest city after Istanbul. Ankara is an important commercial and industrial city.

Tourism in Turkey grew in the last twenty years, and is an important part of the economy. There are a lot of sights in Turkey.

Pamukkale, meaning "cotton castle" in Turkish, is a natural site in Turkey.
