INSTRUCTIONS

for students taking internship (B)

 

1. Credit internship is an important part of education process. It aims to strengthen and deepen theoretical knowledge, acquisition of practical working skills in studied major. Internship is mandatory except for the cases indicated in internship program. Internship equals to theory classes of a curriculum.

2. Students having completed required number of credits are allowed to do internship.

3. BCB Internship Coordinator gives intern a program description and internship journal.

4. In order to be better prepared for internship student should be familiar with a program description, content of future job, collect and study recommended reference material, get required advice on a company and work technology from internship supervisor of a respective department.

5. Internship journal is filled out individually by a student and is signed and stamped by company’s internship supervisor.

6. Internship report is prepared by a student in accordance with instructions of internship program.

7. At the end of an internship student shall submit the following

to the faculty supervisor:

a) Internship Report ( hard copy)

b) Internship Report (electronic version)

c) Recommendation letter from the employer

d) Employer Internship Appraisal Form

e) Internship Journal

8. At the end of the semester a student has to defend Internship Report before Internship Defense Committee

 

 

9. Grade for internship is counted towards student’s overall GPA.

10. Before commencing into internship a student has to meet with a faculty supervisor and discuss forthcoming internship at the company and content of the internship report.

11. By completion of 100 hours (or close to 100 hrs) out of required 160 hours a student has to meet with a faculty supervisor and have consultations on passing internship along with review of internship journal and singing of completed hours (section I - MidReview).

12. After completion of required 160 hours (or internship) a student has to meet with the faculty supervisor and confirm internship completion, discuss report progress and agree on submission of the final version of the report.
