Transportation of food and non-food products, as well as their storage, processing and marketing, is one of the most important stages in the chain of delivery to the consumer of high quality and safe products.

When transporting food raw materials and food products is of great importance to the compliance with the hygienic requirements aimed at preventing the occurrence and spread of communicable and non-communicable diseases and poisoning among consumers.

Organizations involved in the transportation of food products, must be used for this purpose in specially equipped vehicles for the transport of such kinds of food products, such as dairy, meat, pastries, bread, fish, prepared foods, should be used in specialized vehicles marked in accordance with the transported products.

Vehicles used to transport food must have a sanitary passport, to be clean, in good condition, the internal surface of the machine body should have a hygienic coating that can be easily cleaned and disinfected; 21st October 2011 at specially designed or specially equipped vehicles for transportation of food products sanitary certificate is not required in accordance with the Federal law of July 19, № 2011, 248-FZ.

The parameters of the microclimate in the transportation of goods must comply with the requirements of normative and technical documentation for each of them.

Transport of perishable foodstuffs and food raw materials is used by specialized cooled or refrigerated transport.

The strictly observed rules must be used when transporting food for consistent styling precluding contact between raw and finished products, contamination of products during loading and unloading.

MINERALS

There are more than 20 different minerals in the body. The bones and teeth have 99 per cent of the calcium in the body, in the form of calcium phosphate. If people have enough calcium and phosphorus their bones and teeth will be strong and hard. In addition, their muscles, nerves and heart will work correctly. Milk and hard cheeses are the best sources of calcium. Calcium compounds are presented in fruits, vegetables and fish, phosphates in eggs, meat and fish. In general, if one gets enough protein and calcium he will get enough phosphorus.

The red colour of the blood is the colour of the hemoglobin, which contains one atom of iron among its ten thousand atoms. As iron carries oxygen, people who do not have enough iron do not get enough oxygen for their normal activities. Iron is found in kidney, liver, other meat products, some vegetables, dried fruits and bread.

A small quantity of iodine is also necessary for good nutrition – probably less than one ten-thousandth of a gramme daily. Deficiency of iodine results in an overgrowth of the thyroid gland. Sea foods are rich in this element.

Whereas vitamins are organic substances (made by plants or animals), minerals are inorganic elements that come from the soil and water and are absorbed by plants or eaten by animals. Your body needs larger amounts of some minerals, such as calcium, to grow and stay healthy. Other minerals like chromium, copper, iodine, iron, selenium, and zinc are called trace minerals because you only need very small amounts of them each day.

It’s very important to choose the right food nowadays. Healthy and balanced diet is useful for every person. When the body is healthy, the mind will also be healthy.

Different types of food contain different nutrients for our body. Some supply us with carbohydrates, some with proteins or fats, some with vitamins and minerals, etc. Many people think that fat is bad for people and they try to cut down on it.

There is even a special line of products, called low-fat. The problem is that we do need some kinds of fat, but the saturated fats from animal products, like red meat, butter and cheese, can be really bad for health.

Friendly fats can be found in avocados, nuts and seeds, olives and tuna fish, and in some other products. Some people cut down on too much sugar and salt, which is also a good idea. One of the healthiest types of food is fruit and vegetables.

VITAMINS

Vitamin A is necessary for normal growth and development of the body, particularly for good eyesight, obtained from liver, butter, margarine, milk and its products, cheese, carrots, green vegetables, watercress and cod-liver oil.

Vitamin B is called a complex vitamin because there are many constituents: B1, B2, etc. This vitamin is necessary for good condition of the nervous system, contained in yeast extracts, nuts, fruit, wholegrain flour and cereals.

Vitamin C increases resistance to infection and maintains a healthy condition of the skin. Obtained from black currants, rose hip syrup; lemon juice, soft fruits, such as strawberries, spinach, and watercress. Vitamin D is concerned in the laying down of calcium essential for the structure of bones and teeth, obtained from butter, fish, liver oils, etc. Although we get this vitamin from food, it can also be manufactured in our body with the aid of ultra-violet rays from the sun.
