Фонетичний аспект. ІІІ тип читання голосних.

У третьому типі читання голосні читаються подовжено. Голосна читається по третьому типу читання, якщо після неї стоїть літера R. Формула третього типу читання виглядає так:

ГОЛОСНА + R = ДОВГЕ ВИМОВЛЕННЯ ГОЛОСНОЇ

Ex. 1.1. Practise reading of the following words.

North, nor, arm, sport, park, fork, her, first, dark, sort, fur, harm, mark, horn, start, form, third, girl, term, turn, car, short.

2. Граматичний аспект. Нульовий артикль

Артикль не вживається:

1) якщо перед іменником стоїть присвійний (my, his, her, our your, their), вказівний (this, that, such) або питальний займенник (what, which, whose), а також займенник some, any, no, each, every

2) перед іменником у множині, якщо в однині перед ним мав би стояти неозначений артикль

3) якщо перед іменником стоїть інший іменник у присвійному відмінку

4) з днями тижня, місяців та пір року

5) перед словами breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, supper ( в загальному значенні)

6) у виразах: at night, from morning till night, day after day, by train, by tram, by heart, by mistake, from time to time, to take place, to go to bed, to go to school, at home, at work.

When do you leave ... home for ... school? — I leave ... home for ... school at... half past... eight.
