Affirmative reply

The beginning of an affirmative reply is quite clear: it is either acknowledgement or a reference to some previous contacts. The middle part of the letter is more complicated; it deals with the matters or questions raised during the previous contact. Here are some possible ways of developing the middle part of the letter:

You have received one the following letters:   An affirmative reply should be done along these lines
1) A request for information The required information should be given either in the letter or in the enclosed brochures and catalogues (sometimes appropriate explanations are made).
2) A request for some action The actions which should be made are stated and may be explained
3) An enquiry An offer should be done
4) An order An order acknowledgement should be given
5) A request for an appointment The appointment should be confirmed
6) An invitation The invitation could be accepted.

The letter ending may contain either a conclusion of what we discussed in the middle part or some courteous phrase.
