III. “My family”.

Hello, friends it’s me again. Now I want to tell you a few words about my family. My family is large. I have a mother, a father, a brother, a sister and my grandparents.

First of all about my parents. My mother’s name is Mary Brown. She is forty-eight, but she looks much younger. Her birthday is on the 2nd of July. She is a housewife. She has a lot of work to do about the house. My mother is very good at cooking. My father John Brown is fifty-one and so he is three years older than my mother. He works at a big automobile plant as an engineer. My father is handy with many things. By character my father is a modest, a cheerful and well-bred man. He often sings and when we have free time, I play the guitar and we sing together.

My parents have much in common, but they have different views on music, books, films, and spots. For example, my father likes horror films and my mother likes “soap operas”. My father is fond of tennis and my mother doesn’t go in for sports. But my parents have the same opinion about children’s education and upbringing. My parents are hard-working people.

My sister’s name is Helen. She is married. She is an accountant. My brother-in-law Dan is a lawyer. They work in a small business company. They’ve got twins: a son and a daughter. Their son Jim is my nephew and Jane is my niece.

My brother Bill is eleven. He is six years younger than me. He is a pupil of the 5th form. He does well at school and gets only good and excellent marks.

Our family is very united. We like to spend time together . In the evenings we watch TV, read books and newspapers or just discuss everyday problems. We often go to the village to see our grandparents. They are on pension now and they prefer to live in the country.

We have many relatives: uncles, aunts, cousins. It’s nice to have a good family. We are deeply attached to each other and we get on very well.
