University in the system of education

University is defined as an establishment of higher education where professional training of specialists in various fields is accomplished. Apart from that, universities provide retraining, postgraduate education and other types of educational programmes.

Universities consist of faculties, which, in their turn, can be divided into departments. Nowadays many university campuses have their own hall of residence, library, and laboratories and so on. It is believed that higher education provides possibilities of making a more successful career in the future. People with higher education are treated with respect in modern society.

Wide range of existing universities makes it possible nearly for everyone to get a higher education. There are universities of applied sciences, there are universities where human sciences are taught, there are universities where you can get both. They differ from each other by disciplines and methods of teaching.

Today many universities welcome foreign students. Despite the fact that education abroad remains highly expensive, the number of those who wish to get it is not decreasing.

A lot of universities collaborate with different sponsoring agencies. Thanks to that talented students have a chance to win a grant or receive a scholarship which can make one's dream come true.
