Вторая (абсолютная) форма притяжательных местоимений

his - его hers - её its - его, её theirs - их

 

Притяжательные местоимения второй формы заменяют существительное, поэтому после них существительное никогда не ставится.

  • Take my brush. Mine (my brush) is better. – Возьми мою кисть. Моя лучше.
  • I know her sister but I do not know yours (your sister). – Я знаю её сестру, но не знаю твою.

Exercise 7. Use the necessary form of the verb to be.
