Let`s talk about sport. What can you do to become a healthier person?

Nowadays people have to work more and they prefer to rest more actively. Therefore they need better health and more energy. It's important to be in good shape and to stay healthy and attractive.

To my mind, physical exercises are essential for everyone. If you want to be strong physically and mentally, you can go to a fitness club or a swimming pool. Physical exercises strengthen the immune system, improve mental health and help prevent different diseases and obesity. Exercising is also the best remedy for insomnia, depression and stress.

However, a lot of people say they have neither time nor opportunity to go in for sports. What is more, they feel too tired after a hard day's work. That is why all they can do in the evening is to watch sporting events on TV. But I think that if you don't have an opportunity to go to a fitness club, you can just do your morning exercises, jog, swim in summer, ski or skate in winter, play different sports games such as tennis, football, volley-ball, basket-ball and so on. At least you can dance and jump about your room to music for 10-15 minutes each day.

To conclude, if you want to be slim and strong, you must leave your comfortable armchair and exercise. It is not enough to watch other people doing sports. Only regular exercises will help you make your life longer and healthier.

There is no doubt that smoking is an unhealthy habit. Different people start smoking for different reasons. Some people think smoking helps to relax; others just want to experiment or show their protest. Many teenagers start smoking just because their friends smoke. In my opinion all these reasons are stupid, because smoking leads to a shorter life. It kills you. Smoking leads to lung cancer and heart disease. It weakens your immune system. I think smoking should be banned in public places because non-smokers suffer from it too.

There are many different kinds of sport. Many people do sports on their personal initiative. They go in for skating, table tennis, swimming, volleyball, football, bodybuilding, etc. All necessary facilities are provided for them: stadiums, sport grounds, swimming pools, skating rinks, skiing stations, football fields. The most popular outdoor winter sports are shooting, hunting, hockey and in the countries where the weather is frosty and there is much snow-skating, skiing and tobogganing. Some people greatly enjoy figure-skating and ski-jumping. Summer affords excellent opportunities for swimming, boating, cycling and many other sports.

All the year round many people do boxing, wrestling, athletics, gymnastics and track and field events.

There are sport games: football, golf, tennis, cricket, volleyball, basketball and so on. Among indoor games the most popular are snooker, table tennis and chess.

Finding a sport that you love is a discovery for a lifetime. Keeping fit, making friends, and having fun are only a few of the benefits that you can gain. First of all, you should find out which sport is suitable and good for you and your health. Then decide if you want to spend money to buy equipment or participate. Besides think about if you prefer being in a team or being alone when doing a sport.

If I had an opportunity to open a health centre first of all I would find a suitable place for it. It should be a picturesque place with clean fresh air. Besides, there should be a river or a lake nearby. The building should be modern with all modern conveniences.

The stuff of the centre is a very important matter. They should be highly qualified specialist, kind and ready to help people. Visitors of the centre will be able to solve health problems, get rid of bad habits. They will be taught the rules of healthy diet and the rules of healthy way of life. They also will be able to take up different kinds of sports or fitness activities with the help of instructors. Swimming pools, gyms, stadiums, football fields, skating rinks, saunas and different equipment will also be available. Welcome to my dream health centre!
