Present Perfect - Настоящее совершенное время
Present Perfect употребляется для выражения действия, законченного к настоящему моменту и связанного с этим моментом.
Present Perfect используется:
1) для констатации факта совершения действия без указания на время его совершения: I have written a letter.
2) когда указан период времени, который еще не закончился: today, this week, this month, this year: I haven’t seen Ann today.
3) с наречиями never (никогда), ever (когда-либо), just (только что), yet (еще), аlready (уже): Nick has just come back.
4) с обстоятельствами времени, указывающими на период, в течение которого происходило или могло происходить действие; начиная с какого-то момента прошедшего времени и вплоть до настоящего времени: lately (в последнее время), for a long time(в течение долгого времени), how long(как долго), so far (до сих пор), up to now (до настоящего момента), for three hours (в течение трех часов), since (с тех пор как): Have you been to the cinema lately?
Present Perfect образуется при помощи вспомогательного глагола to have и причастия прошедшего времени (Particle II) смыслового глагола. Particle II правильных глаголов образуется при помощи окончания -ed к неопределенной форме глагола: to ask- asked, to work – worked;
Particle II неправильных глаголов образуется чередованием звуков в корне (3-я форма глагола): go – went – gone, do – did – done.
I/You/We/They’ve (have) worked.
Have I/you/we/they worked?
I/You/We/They haven’t (have not) worked.
He/she/It (has) worked.
Has he/she/it worked?
He/she/It hasn’t (has not) worked.
14. Modal verbs can, can’t, have to, don’t have to
Модальный глагол can выражает разрешение, а can't выражает запрещение.
Модальный глагол have to выражает обязанность или необходимость, зависящую от внешних условий, и переводится на русский язык словами: «вынужден», «должен», «приходится». Отрицательная форма don’t haveto выражает отсутствие обязанности или необходимости и на русский язык переводится словами: «нет необходимости», « не нужно, « не приходиться».

Gemma Burford Enolengila
Gemma was born in 1978 in a quiet village in the south of England. Her mother worked in a library and her father was an accountant. When she was a student at Oxford University, she travelled to Tanzania and met her future husband, Lesikar, for the first time. The couple got married in 2003.When they had a baby (a daughter, Lucia) they decided to go and live in Tanzania. “I want my daughter to have the best life possible,” said Gemma.
Lesikar is a Masai and lives in a village near Arusha in the north of the country. There is no electricity in the home and they walk almost a kilometer to get water. Gemma cooks simple dinners of corn and vegetables and she washes the clothes in a bucket. There is a small primary school in the village, but Gemma and Lesikar will also teach Lucia at home.
Judy Boehmer
Judy had her first child, Adam, 27 years ago. She now has four sons and seven daughters and a pet dog, Bosco, but she wants more boys. Judy and her husband, Larry, live in Atlanta, Georgia, but they also have a 10-metre-long motor home. The family sometimes travels more than 40 000 kilometres a year for their work. The children do not go to school, but they study at home with their parents.
The Boehmer are a circus family and all the children take part in the show. They do different kinds of juggling and Margaret, the youngest, stands on one leg in her mother’s hand. The first show of the Boehmer Family Jugglers was at a theme park in Iowa in 1989, and they now perform all over America.
