The travelling that impressed me very much

Modern life is impossible without travelling. Millions of people all over the world travel to see other countries and continents, modern cities and ancient towns. It is interesting to learn a lot about people’s traditions, to discover new things, to enjoy picturesque places. People travel by train, by plane, by ship and by car. All means of travel have their advantages and disadvantages. And people choose one according to their plans and destinations. Well, I like to travel, too. And I want to tell you about the most impressing place I have been to. I think that the most beautiful thing is not the thing created by people, but the thing created by nature.

I`d like to tell you about my summer trip to the Crimea. The Crimea is the peninsula in the Black Sea. Along the coast there are many health resorts and beaches, bays and picturesque mountains. In the Crimea there are many attractions and places for excursions. Year by year I go to the Crimea on my summer holidays. Crimean mountains and Black sea made the greatest impression on me. I was very interested in this resort, that`s why I often took pictures of beautiful places there. Beautiful nature in these mountains makes us think about Paradise: you can look through transparent air and see fields, and lakes, and forests, and, of course, marvelous rocky mountains… Agree, a man can't make such wonder! Everyone can visit these wonderful places and see all the miracles of nature. I would like to go to the Crimea again.

My leisure activities

A time when person is free from compulsory activities such as work, household duties, education, eating and sleeping is called free time or leisure time. I think it is important for us to rest after hard work. That’s why our weekends are more attractive than weekdays. At our leisure time we go in for sport, read books, go to the library, the cinema, the park, it may be watching TV, listening to music and so on. As a role, we try to spend most of time outdoors. As for me, I like to go to the cinema on weekends and enjoy seeing an interesting film. I prefer film genres which are full of action and cinema effects, and have a good soundtrack, like action film, comedies, musicals, thrillers and cartoons. Also listening to music is one of the most common activities that help me try release stress and relax. I love visit my friends and have a chat with them about our life and our plans. Sometimes I am relaxing with internet newspapers or magazines. It is easiest way for people to gain updated information. When I have a free time I try to spend it useful. So, many peoples, many minds. All people are different and so they prefer spending their free time in different ways.

The role of sport in our life

People all over the world are fond of sport and games. Sport makes people healthy, keeps them fit, more organized and better disciplined. It unit people of different classes and nationalities. Many people do sports on their personal initiative. They go in for skiing, skating, table tennis, swimming, volleyball, football and so on. There is tradition to divide sport into professional and amateur. Many people devote their life to professional sport, take part in different competitions, Olympic Games, and win medals and so on. But there are many negative factors. For example, athletes are forced to sacrifice a lot of things. It’s not good. So, sport plays an important role in our life. I think that everyone must do all he can to be healthy. Physically inactive people get old earlier than those who have plenty of exercises. If you do daily exercises you feel refreshed, have a good posture and that makes you feel good. So, people should go in for sport, because sports makes people kin and helps to keep body in good shape, to keep fit and energized.

Education in Kazakhstan.

After gaining independence from the Soviet Union, Kazakhstan has started reforms in education. The educational system in Kazakhstan is conducted in two languages - Kazakh and Russian and consists of several levels of state and private educational establishments: infant schools, elementary (or primary) schools, comprehensive schools, colleges and academies. Secondary education is free-of-charge and compulsary for all citizens. Children start school at the age of 7 and finish at 17. As a rule a child attends the school, located in the neighbourhood. However, in big cities there are so-called special schools, where they study European languages (English, French, German) or the advanced courses in physics and mathematics and so on. So, The first stage of education in Kazakhstan is elementary (or primary) school for grades one through four. The second is secondary school for middle grades from five through nine. Upon graduation from secondary school students are given the choice of either continuing to attend the same school (high school -senior grades 10-11) or entering to college.

To be admitted to the institute one has to pass a series of oral or written tests. Schoolchildren may get free-of-charge higher education if they are excellent write an unified national testing. The system of higher education prepares highly - skilled experts on economy, transport, agriculture, medicine, languages and others. Today the young people of Kazakhstan have the opportunity to choose and acquire various types of education and build their lives according to their ambitions.

Education in Britain

In England and Wales compulsory school begins at the age of five, but before that age children can go to a nursery school, also called play school. School is compulsory till the children are 16 years old.

In Primary School and First School children learn to read and write and the basis of arithmetic. In the higher classes of Primary School (or in Middle School) children learn geography, history, religion and, in some schools, a foreign language. Then children go to the Secondary School.

When students are 16 years old they may take an exam in various subjects in order to have a qualification. These qualifications can be either G.C.S.E. (General Certificate of Secondary Education) or "O level" (Ordinary level). After that students can either leave school and start working or continue their studies in the same school as before. If they continue, when they are 18, they have to take further examinations which are necessary for getting into university or college.

Some parents choose private schools for their children. They are very expensive but considered to provide a better education and good job opportunities.

In England there are 47 universities, including the Open University which teaches via TV and radio, about 400 colleges and institutes of higher education. The oldest universities in England are Oxford and Cambridge. Generally, universities award two kinds of degrees: the Bachelor's degree and the Master's degree.

Education in the USA

The American system of school education differs from the systems in other countries. There are state public schools, private elementary schools and private secondary schools. Public schools are free and private schools are fee-paying. Each state has its own system of public schools.

Elementary education begins at the age of six or seven, when a child goes to the first grade (form). At the age of sixteen schoolchildren leave the elementary school and may continue their education at one of the secondary schools or high schools, as they call them. The programme of studies in the elementary school includes English, Arithmetic, Geography, History of the USA, Natural sciences and, besides, Physical Training, Singing, Drawing, wood or metal work, etc. Sometimes they learn a foreign language and general history.

Besides giving general education some high schools teach subjects useful to those who hope to find jobs in industry and agriculture or who wants to enter colleges or universities. After graduating from secondary schools a growing number of Americans go on to higher education.

The students do not take the same courses. During the first two years they follow a basic programme. It means that every student must select at least one course from each of the basic fields of study: English, Natural sciences, Modern languages, History or Physical education. After the first two years every student can select subjects according to his professional interest.

The National Government gives no direct financial aid to the institutions of higher education. Students must pay a tuition fee. This creates a financial hardship for some people. Many of the students have to work to pay their expenses.
