Mary Smith is an applicant for a post of a secretary in Kerr company. She has applied for the post and now Mr Brown, the head of the Human Resources department is interviewing her. He has read her letter of application and now he wants to ask her some questions.
Mary likes her present work but her company is closing the office in this town. She doesn’t have any experience in the business of selling optical equipment. However, her brother is an optician and he will help her .
Unfortunately, she doesn’t know German, as she didn’t learn it at school. At the same time, she has been to Austria and Germany a few times on holiday , and has learnt a little. So, she speaks a bit .
After the interview Mr. Brown promised to get in touch with her later.
