5. Using the evidence of the witnesses below make the description of the offender:

Malcolm Kruger: I saw that guy through the window. I was sipping my Scotch in that pub ‘Red Lion’. His gestures caught my eye: he was constantly pinching his ear with his fingers, yes, left ear. I remember he was rather tall , well, about 180 cm, perhaps taller. Clothes? Well, I can’t remember. Something dark, dark blue, perhaps. There was something dark about him. No, he wasn’t black. Maybe black hair, though I’m not sure.

John Bright: Tall. I’m 191cm and he is perhaps 5 cm shorter. Dark sun-glasses. Trackers, I mean he was wearing sports shoes. That’s all I can remember. Yes, one more thing: crew cut, very short.

Bridget McClue: I was standing just next to him. I had an appointment with my dentist at 10 and was waiting for my grandson to drive me home. He is a very good lad, polite and helpful. Any time I need some help I just phone him and he does anything for me. Marc studies law at the University. He is graduating this summer and he has already been offered a job, a very good job I should say. Pardon? Ah, yes, about that young man. I think he was Mark’s peer: that means in his early twenties, make it 22. He had a stud in his nostril, disgusting! What’s going on with our youth you tell me. Alcohol, drugs, no morality at all! My Marc is not like those. Pardon? Oh, yes, that youth. Let me see... . Yes, He had a sweater on, dark blue, very plain, with high collar. I knit myself and I have knitted a very beautiful pullover for Marc. He is so handsome, Marc and this pullover suits him very well. He wears it all the time even to the University. Is that all, officer? Thank you, I’ll manage to get home, Marc is waiting for me. Yes, he is in his car at the police station. You may ask him.

Marc McClue: You mean that guy who broke the window and grabbed some jewellery? Yes, I saw him quite clear. I was about to stop to pick my granny when he did it. Well, just a sec... . He is about 185 cm tall, black jeans, very tight. Swept back dark hair. What? Oh, yes, quite possible crew cut. Dark sunglasses and ... well, oriental type like. The skin, you know, not quite fair. White trackers... well... what else? There was something on his right cheek: a mole or a wart. Rather athletic I’d say.

Bernard Whitney: I think it was him. He ran right behind the corner and nearly knocked me down. he had a car parked in the side street on the yellow line. No, he was alone, he was driving. He pressed the gas to the floor at once. The tyres squealed. Yes, I do. It was Waxhall Uni, red, D registration, with one of these stupid pictures on the back door... what was it ... something like ‘**** you all’ and a characteristic gesture.

Martin Crate: I saw him well. I rent an apartment on the opposite side of the street, the second floor, number 7. I work for a small rental firm, but I caught a flu and have been staying in bed for three days already, very boring, you know. What I’m doing is watching through the window. I spotted that fella as soon as he appeared at the shop. He was hanging around and it was strange. It was a busy time: nobody stood on one place: only him and an elderly woman. Face? Well, an oblong one with a cleft chin, no moustache. I couldn’t see his eyes under the sunglasses. He held his ear, yes, left ear with his fingers. Just ordinary ears, regular shape. A normal mouth, nothing special, maybe the lips are ... yes, the lips are full.
