Выбранные для рассмотрения в настоящей главе темы являются моей интерпретацией важных факторов, которые привели нас к сегодняшнему положению дел. Уходящая свои­ми корнями в методологию закупок и экономической целесообразности современная концепция управления системой поставок в нынешнем ее понимании во многом обяза­на другим дисциплинам — стратегии, экономике, маркетингу, корпоративной культуре и информационным технологиям. Интеграция этих дисциплин в переводе на язык теории и практики, реализованная в процессе управления, важна для понимания текущих проблем и возможных направлений исследования в будущем.

Интеграция — это ключ к управлению сложными внутренними и внешними процес­сами, протекающими между компаниями, которые сосуществуют в многочисленных цепочках поставок в каждой организации. Доставка одного платья в розничный магазин может задействовать сеть поставщиков по всему миру, и это — лишь конфигурация одной цепочки поставок, с которой ретейлер должен справляться в рамках ассортимента в одном магазине; и так — во всех своих магазинах. Разнообразие точек соприкосновения и число различных отношений в процессе удовлетворения потребностей покупателей в высшей степени сложны. Важно помнить, что речь идет именно о деловых отношениях, мотивом которых является получение прибыли через обмен. Следовательно, изучение процессов обмена и способов управления ими позволит глубже понять механизмы их действия и происходящих со временем модификаций. Оценка двустороннего воз­действия стратегий международного сорсинга и снабжения — и на страну-поставщика, и на страну-покупателя — открывает новые важные аспекты этики и защиты окружаю­щей среды. Длительные повторные исследования, количественные исследования, эт­нография, феноменология и социальный интеракционизм — методы, которые можно применить в данном контексте.

Всегда интересны сравнения, проводимые между разными типами цепочки поставок. В этом отношении сравнительный анализ ситуаций является многообещающим. Почему компания Benetton приняла решение осуществлять больший контроль над своей цепочкой поставок с помощью вертикальной интеграции и увеличения числа производственных центров за границей? Ведь подобная практика — это не просто способ снижения издержек, хотя она может привести и к такому результату. Решение компании обусловлено ее жела­нием получить контроль над цепочкой поставок, свести до минимума риски и издержки, создать центры в территориальной близости к потенциальным растущим рынкам. Если подвергнуть исследованиям розничную торговлю в модной отрасли, можно определить, оказывают ли влияние имеющиеся отраслевые тенденции на принятие решений в кон­кретном секторе. Например, выяснить, повлиял ли на Benetton успех Zara в быстром и эффективном создании новых рынков за пределами Испании в результате принятия компанией стратегии вертикальной интеграции, применения концепции быстрой моды (никогда не повторяться) и метода QR. Или скажем, установить, копировали ли ранее и/или копируют ли в данный момент другие ретейлеры способы управления цепочками поставок, к которым прибегают вышеназванные компании, либо же действуют по иному сценарию, и если да, то что из этого следует.

Мы уже знаем из литературы, что многие идеи и концепции поставок развились в про­изводстве, в частности в автомобильной промышленности. Отличается ли управление цепочкой поставок в секторе розничной торговли от управления автомобильным заводом или заводом электроники? Где важнее соответствовать требованиям заказчика — в цепочке поставок розничного магазина моды или в промышленном производстве вычислительной техники, где такие компании, как Dell, проложили себе дорогу? В чем отличия и сходство этих организаций, их цепочек поставок, производственной деятельности, маркетинга и коммерческой деятельности? Ответы на все вышеозначенные (и весьма интересные) вопросы помогут нам объяснить различные аспекты управления цепочками поставок. Сравнительный анализ и междисциплинарное исследование помогли бы глубже понять затронутую нами тему.

Какие бы аспекты управления цепочкой поставок ни рассматривали исследователи, факты, различия мнений и размышления, приведенные в настоящей главе, обнаружива­ют, что управление цепочкой поставок необходимо для успешного ведения деятельности организаций розничной торговли. Исследования в других дисциплинах способны многое прояснить и внести огромный вклад в предмет нашего обсуждения.

ВВЕДЕНИЕ

 

С течением времени в fashion-бизнесе произошли значительные изменения. Они связаны с увеличением международной конкуренции и развитием мировой системы поставок, влияющей на цикл продукции и управление цепочками поставок. Байеры розничных компаний играют важную роль в этом процессе, выбирая поставщика и при­нимая решение о выборе продукта; их роль из чисто практической переросла в более стратегическую. Природа закупок сложна: она включает в себя не только управление портфелем поставщиков, но и менеджмент взаимоотношений с ними, а также успешную корреляцию обоих вышеозначенных аспектов с внутренней деятельностью компании, и особенно — в сфере мерчандайзинга. Указанные виды деятельности являются уни­версальными и изменяются в зависимости от контекста. В случае с модными товара­ми собственной торговой марки байеру приходится участвовать в принятии решений о развитии товара и прогнозировании тенденции, чтобы гарантировать соответствие коллекций ожиданиям потребителей. Роль байера в развитии продукта подробно в этой главе не обсуждается.
