Exercise 6. Translate from Russian into English
1. Печень является одним из самых крупных органов. Печень участвует в пищеварении, выделяя жёлчь. Жёлчь вырабатывается клетками печени постоянно, а поступает в двенадцатиперстную кишку через общий жёлчный проток (bile duct) только при наличии в ней пищи.
2. Желудочно-кишечный тракт начинается с ротового отверстия, включает полость рта, пищевод, желудок, тонкий и толстый кишечник, который заканчивается анальным отверстием.
3. В систему пищеварения входит желудочно-кишечный тракт, а также органы, осуществляющие секрецию пищеварительных соков (слюнные железы, печень, поджелудочная железа).
4. Тонкая кишка делится на три отдела: двенадцатиперстную, тощую и подвздошную кишки. В тонкой кишке происходит всасывание продуктов расщепления питательных веществ.
