I Тип Читання
У першому типі читання голосні читаються так, як вони звучать в алфавіті. Голосна читається по першому типу читання, якщо вона знаходиться у відкритому складі під наголосом. Формула першого типу читання виглядає так:
1А ГОЛОСНА + (іноді ПРИГОЛОСНА) + ГОЛОСНА (як правило, це німа «E») = ЧИТАННЯ ПЕРШОЇ ГОЛОСНОЇ ЯК В АЛФАВІТІ

Theme, code, these, spoke, name, lake, like, mine, type, tune, duty, made, tie, my, life, size, fine, late, mate, same, line, pine, style, file, tape, fate, gate, space, shape, shave, shine.
2. Граматичний аспект.“Неозначений артикль”.
Неозначений артикль вживається:
1) якщо особа чи предмет згадуються вперше. При їх повторному називанні перед відповідним іменником вживається означений артикль.
Take a book. We shall have a test.
2) перед злічуваними іменниками в однині після звороту there is (there was, there will be),який вводить предмет, ще невідомий читачеві чи співрозмовникові. Іменники в множині, а також незлічувані іменники в такому разі вживаються без артикля.
There is a map on the wall. There will be a school here. There was silence.
3) коли йдеться про особу чи предмет, що належать до класу подібних осіб чи предметів.
Odessa is a city. My friend is an engineer.
4) перед злічуваними іменниками в однині після слова what в окличних реченнях, а також після слів such такий, quite зовсім, цілком, rather досить. Іменники в множині, а також незлічувані іменники у такому разі вживаються без артикля.
What a beautiful day! It was such a cild day. She is still quite a child.
5) У деяких випадках неозначений артикль зберігає своє колишнє значення — один (особливо з одиницями вимірювання, часу, ваги, відстані)
Nearly an hour passed. A hundred dollars.
6) в деяких сталих словосполученнях, наприклад to go for a walk, to have a look, to be in a hurry, for a long time.
